REHABILITATING A HISTORIC PEDESTRIAN MALL

16TH ST. MALL REDEVELOPMENT

DENVER, CO

PILOT PROJECT TESTS RECOMMENDATIONS

With the decline in the condition of the pavers on Denver's 16th Street Mall, ZGF and studioINSITE led the 16th Street mall Urban Design Plan outlining alternatives for revitalization. As an outcome of this plan, studioINSITE led a revitalization pilot project of 3 blocks of the mall to test paving, accessibility, stormwater drainage, and maintenance.

As a client you always would like your consultant to be working on your project with 110 percent effort. In studioINSITE’s case I would say 200 percent was more like it; they never said “no” to a request from me.
