THREE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS. ONE URBAN CAMPUS.

CONNECTING A CAMPUS TO THE DOWNTOWN CORE
The 2007 master plan recognized the physical and economic synergies between downtown and the Auraria campus and responded with a strategy to combine intellectual, cultural and facility assets between the campus and the downtown community. On campus, each of the three academic instituions was set within a 'neighborhood' so that they begin to have individual identities within the combined campus.
THE URBAN GRID PENETRATES THE CAMPUS CORE
Over time, beginning with the Lawrence Street mall and continuing through implementation of academic buildings, street connections, and pedestrian circulation, the campus has emerged as a framework of buildings which aligns with the surrounding urban grid. This evolution supports the campus' recognition as the nations' largest urban academic institution.
