MUSEUM ADDITION OPENS THE DOORS FOR STUDENTS AND EDUCATION
The Morgidge Family Exploration Center addition at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science is an educational center for students and tour groups. Boettcher Plaza serves as a staging ground and entry for large groups of visitors, with indoor meeting space to accommodate them.
ART AND SCIENCE EXTEND OUTSIDE MUSEUM WALLS
The plaza is a seamless transition zone between the Museum and the adjacent Denver City Park. Artistic elements are included throughout the site design with the overhead 'Iridescent Cloud' sculpture of faceted "crystals", and an arc-shaped swath of glass-textured pavement on the plaza that ends in a "pot" of pyrite "Fool's gold."
