CITY SEEKS TO REKINDLE COMMUNITY'S LOVE FOR HISTORIC PARK
In 2014 the City of Council Bluffs and community groups launched the Return to Fairmount Park campaign. This million-dollar renovation effort included restoration of the park woodlands, trail system expansion, and new water playground. To recognize the history of Fairmount Park and the community effort to reactivate it, the project included a significant signage and wayfinding component. A water sprayground was also designed to activate the park and attract children and families.
SIGNAGE AND WAYFINDING PROGRAM RECOGNIZE HISTORY OF THE PARK
studioINSITE developed a wayfinding plan, designed the signage to establish a recognizable brand, and prepared educational material for the park. The multi-phase contract included planning and design of the signage as well as fabrication, construction, and installation oversight.
